I am a British Wheel of Yoga qualified teacher offering life-enhancing yoga for all.
The class is aimed at anyone that would benefit from gentle exercise based in a chair. This could include older people; people recovering from operations; those suffering with stress; office or chair-based workers looking to learn some new exercise techniques; people with weight related problems; people with limited movement - anyone that would find chair-based exercise preferable to floor-based exercise. Exercises are chair-based, with some standing exercises next to the chair where appropriate. The classes always include some breathing techniques and mindfulness meditation, both of which help with relaxation and aid better sleep.
The course is organised in half-term units, with 8 classes costing £48 in total - payable at the first class. Absences from a class that are known in advance can be deducted from the cost. A taster class is £6. If there is space, it is possible to join a half-term course part-way through, with payment then being pro-rata. A single class is £8.
The class takes place from 11:30am to 12:30 on Mondays.
