This is a 3-week course, with the expectation that the participants booked on would attend all three weeks. A kit is issued to them via the post for them to take part in the sessions. This is all free of charge. This is the initial basic course that they can partake in. The start learning some of the basics around calligraphy, such as the alphabet in Lowercase and uppercase as well as numbers, names and joining of words. For the final week we then look at putting the skills they have learnt from the other weeks together to be able to make an a5/a4 size quote for them to keep and frame. The sessions take place in the evening most often from 4:30-5:30 for ages 9-13 and 6-7 for ages 14-18. This is a chance for them to develop some skills in a relaxed and calm environment. The idea is they then continue using these skills as a form of mindfulness for themselves. We then offer a 3-week advanced course as well as one-off special events themed around holidays such as Chinese New Year. They can then go on to take part in these once they have completed the basic course
