Our befriending service provides one to one support in a person’s own home by a visit from a volunteer befriender, telephone support by way of a weekly telephone call and the option to attend our monthly lunch at a local eating establishment – transport is provided free of charge but the cost of the lunch is met by the client. We also hold a monthly film club and fortnightly games club – again transport is provided free of charge. The scheme is available to those over 60 who are living alone and have been identified as socially isolated or those with a disability.
