The CLOCK in Kent Community Legal Commpanion Scheme at CCCU is a social justice project which the Law School is initiating to give Law students the opportunity to assist the local community by acting as volunteer Community Legal Companions at the local County Court.
The project enables Law students to become trained up as Community Legal Companions to give voluntary support and guidance to those in need who attend court without legal representation and if need be refer the service user to local advice agencies. The project has a number of local 'Partner Service Provider' organisations.
At present CCCU Community Legal Companions operate a virtual Help Desk (open Monday-Friday 10am-4pm) which can be accessed via email: clock@canterbury.ac.uk or telephone: 01227 391023
