Providing free debt advice & helping people who live in the CT6 or CT7 postcode areas to become debt free. CAP is a national organisation, run locally through Churches in Herne Bay to help people with unmanageable debt. The client must make initial contact with CAP Head Office in Bradford on 0800 328 0006 who will then organise an appointment with the centre manager & a support worker from the local centre in Herne Bay. Normally, three meetings take place within the clients’ home to establish the financial situation & ultimately present a realistic budget & advice which the client can move forward with to become debt free. However, whilst pandemic restrictions are in force, meetings will be by telephone. The service is free of charge & available to anyone regardless of their religious beliefs.
