The use of hypnotherapy in MS is quite new. It is not a cure, but it can be a way of managing changes, both physical and how you feel as a person. MS may exacerbate issues that already existed; it can also produce some of its own. There are no guarantees, but examples where hypnotherapy can help include fatigue management, loss of confidence, fear of being dependent, change in abilities and loss of identity (not being “yourselfâ€) pain, sleeping problems, thoughts of the future, anxiety, deep relaxation and reduction of stress, urinary and bowel issues. Hynotherapy is available to members following an initial consultation with Karen Middlemiss our MS Support Manager.
