Exercise Referral is a formalised method of enabling those with certain medical conditions, and health risks, to access exercise in a safe and effective manner. Having been referred by a registered health professional (GP, Consultant, Physiotherapist, Dietician, Nurse Specialist, OneYou lifestyle advisor) you have the reassurance of knowing that physical activity is considered to be appropriate for you.
The 12-week referral period is designed to give you the knowledge, confidence and support to approach exercise in a manner that addresses your needs applying established principles of exercise for your referred condition/s. Our team of qualified, experienced Exercise Referral Instructors have supported many individuals through this process.
We believe Exercise Referral is a fabulous opportunity to understand the physiological aspects of your exercise requirements for your referred condition in a nurturing and supportive framework.
