Age UK Herne Bay was established in 1946 and since then has always moved with the times. Over 60 years, the range of services supplied continues to evolve according to the needs of older people who live in Herne Bay and surrounding villages.
In 2018 our close neighbours at Age UK Whitstable took the hard decision to close its centre and approached Age UK Herne Bay with an offer so that the people of Whitstable continue to receive support and services. As a result of the discussions Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable was created supplying services from Reculver through to Seasalter and all the outlying villages.
We operate two centres in Herne Bay, the Bradbury Day Centre and the Hazel Neville Dementia Care Unit both at our site in Reculver Road Beltinge.

The volunteer base of our operation is the nucleus of our success, their performance enhancing our highly valued reputation.

Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable is an independent charity with its own constitution and funding administered by locally appointed Trustees. Age UK is the UK's largest organisation working for and on behalf of older people.

While some of our services are provided in our two centres in the town, others are provided in the community.

We're a local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. We want everyone to be able to love later life.
