Aims & Activities
At Live Well Kent we help you improve your mental and physical health and well-being by connecting you to local services and organisations that can help you with everyday living such as employment, housing and financial support as well as introducing you to groups and courses to support you with your mental health and wellbeing.
Our team of Community Navigators and Live Well Kent Volunteers will make sure you have access to the widest possible range of support and services to meet your needs.
In partnership with Activity Box, Ashford Umbrella, Blackthorn Trust, Canterbury Art Studio, Canterbury Umbrella, Choice Support, Clarion Housing Association, Fegans, Herne Bay Umbrella, J R Counselling, Kent High Weald Partnership, Marchwood CIC, Maidstone and Mid Kent Mind, Shaw Trust, Speak Up CIC, Take Off CIC, Tunbridge Wells & District Citizen Advice, Tunbridge Wells Mental Health Resource Ltd, West Kent Housing and West Kent Mind the following interventions are available.
Bereavement and Loss: 1-2-1 support sessions and group sessions designed to provide you with the tools to help manage loss.
Core Mental Health Support Programmes: Courses to help you develop your skills and understanding around managing common mental health conditions.
Emotional Wellbeing: Music Groups, Practical Arts & Crafts, Gardening, Yoga, Cooking and Healthy Eating.
Employment Support: Employment support for clients with mental health conditions; helping them to access courses and paid employment.
Financial Support: Support and workshops to help you manage your financial situation, including budgeting and benefits.
Housing Support Support: on finding accommodation; Housing related benefits; Rent arrears; Guidance on tenancy management.
Peer-led Self-Help Groups: We will invite you to condition related or project based peer-led self-help groups.
Physical Wellbeing Peer Led Projects: held in Woodlands, Parks or Walled Gardens - a therapeutic approach to wellbeing.
The services are delivered across Ashford, Canterbury & Coastal, Maidstone and West Kent.
Live Well Kent is a free service for anyone over 17.
