This service is aimed at those who are unable to access public transport for whatever reason in order to attend medical or social appointments (e.g hospital appointments, visiting friends). This scheme utilizes volunteer drivers who use their own cars to transport people to and from their appointments.
There is an annual registration fee, volunteer drivers charge a mileage rate to cover their expenses plus there is an administration fee per journey to help with administration costs.
