Renaissance the Gentle Gym Fitness and Wellbeing Centre offers an exciting concept in the battle to improve active and healthy lifestyles using:
1)Falls Prevention workshops and classes: Six weeks fall prevention classes combining balance and strengthening exercises and workshops teaching individuals about risks of falls and how to reduce them.
2)Motor-assisted exercises: improved joint mobility and muscle strength, better sleep patterns, increased energy levels, improved posture and weight loss, are just some of the benefits reported by clients who have used our motorised exercise machines.
3)Functional Exercises for older people and those recovering from injury or illness: train an individual's muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by stimulating common movements they might do at home, at work, or in sports. They promote a person's self-determination and control of their independence and support four fitness goals namely: endurance, strength, balance and flexibility.
The environment also encourages social interaction and reduces loneliness.
